  • Rockland Tintype Parlor© is an authentic re-creation of the tintype process, a type of “instant” photography that was popular in your great-grandparent’s day.
  • These are safe dry-plate tintypes, also known as ferrotypes, like those found in antique shops, not modern imitations. Plates are thin enough to be easily trimmed with scissors to fit any size.
  •  The kit has everything you need to make tintypes (or ambrotypes if coated on glass). Processing is the same as with paper. Just coat, expose, develop and fix for a beautiful permanent sepia-toned image on metal.
  • The Tintype Parlor kit contains 8 4x5 satin black aluminum plates, Liquid Light emulsion, developer and fixer, with complete instructions for use.
