  • Judean bitumen is a rather thick liquid containing bitumen, stand oil, clay and turpentine. It is used to "age" the treated objects.
  • The bitumen must be spread evenly on the surface with a brush or a pad, making it penetrate into the cracks.
  • The excesses are then removed with a cloth. Leave to dry overnight.
  • The bitumen will thus leave a light antiquing veil on the flat or raised parts, remaining darker in the deep parts of the decorations.
