Kremer pigment Huntite Magnesium calcium carbonate 100g
Kremer pigment Huntite Magnesium calcium carbonate 100g
Huntite is suitable for all aqueous applications, especially as a white pigment in pit lime, cellulose glue and acrylic binders. In oil, Huntite becomes translucent. Huntite forms very small primary crystals and is soft and voluminous (which certainly facilitated processing the material back in antiquity). Already ancient Greek painter Apelles is said to have worked with Huntite. Until the 1960s, the famous white of houses in Greece was pit lime with Huntite. Today, Huntite coatings are mainly used as wall paint or fire-retardant paint. Very light pigment - be careful when opening the packaging and during processing!
