Dammar is the lightest natural soft resin and comes from Sumatra, Indonesia. It is commercially available in larger pieces up to about 3 cm in diameter in the trade. Its fracture is crystal clear and its coloration very low pale yellowish.

! Harmful if swallowed or in contact with skin. Causes skin irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Causes serious eye irritation. Harmful if inhaled. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Keep away from heat/ sparks/ open flames/ hot surfaces. No smoking. Avoid release to the environment.  If swallowed: Immediately call a poison center or physician.  If on skin (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Do not induce vomiting.
