Intended for the preparation of light, transparent, and reversible damar varnish.

The resin is used for varnishing both tempera and oil paintings.

Recommended damar varnish preparation recipe:
Place 100g of damar resin in a sealed container and add 200g of pure pine turpentine (for ready-to-use varnish, use a ratio of 1:10 / 1:12). Allow it to fully dissolve (this may take a couple of days). Then filter or decant the varnish to remove excess sediment. If you wish to make the varnish thinner, you can add turpentine (preferably at least double-rectified) until the varnish reaches your desired consistency. When thinning the prepared varnish a second time, use the same solvent.

Do not store in direct sunlight.

When working with damar resin, it is recommended to wear rubber gloves.
